Round 6 of the NBL1 West delivered another entertaining night at the Hothouse and away: points, pressure, and 3 wins out 4 for the Rockingham Flames across a Friday/Saturday night double-header. The Flames women produced one of their most complete offensive performances of the season, overpowering the Suns 112–81 in a high-scoring showcase. A blistering 35 point second quarter set the tone. the Flames finished an outstanding 42-from-79 from the field (53%), while forcing 14 turnovers from the Suns to keep the pressure on. Stef Berberabe orchestrated the offense with 19 points and 10 assists, while Teige Morrell dominated inside with a 25-point, 12-rebound double-double. Sara Puckett added 22 points and nine rebounds in another commanding display. The men’s game told a very different story—another heartbreaking finish as the Suns snatched a 94–91 win with final three to seal it. Despite the result, there were strong individual performances. Isaac White led the scoring with 24 points, while Emmett Nair added 17. Blake Jones recorded a 14 point, 13 rebound double-double, and Michael Harris flirted with a triple-double (11 points, 12 rebounds, six assists). The Flames women carried their momentum north and delivered another dominant performance, highlighted by a defensive masterclass in the third quarter. A 19–9 third term broke the game open, with the Flames clamping down defensively and controlling the tempo. Sara Puckett continued her outstanding form with 24 points and 12 rebounds, while Teige Morrell showed grit returning from a mid-game laceration to post 12 points and 8 rebounds. Stef Berberabe added 17 points, and Tiana Wilson-Palmer contributed 10 in another well-rounded team performance. The men followed suit bouncing back with a big win over the Senators. After a tight opening, the Flames blew the game open with a 32–18 second quarter and a 33–17 third quarter taking full control. Isaac White was electric with 29 points on 52% shooting, including three triples. Michael Harris added 20 points, while Tevin Jackson delivered a huge double-double (13 points, 15 rebounds). Travis Durnin chipped in with 15 points to round out a powerful team effort. The Flames return home this Saturday to face the Joondalup Wolves in what shapes as a crucial top-four clash for the men at the Hothouse.
