A packed house at the Hothouse on Friday night set the tone for an electric double-header, with a huge turnout of junior domestic players from Rockingham Basketball Recreation Association creating an atmosphere that lifted both Women's and Men's teams. The next generation of Flames brought energy, noise, and plenty of passion to Mike Barnett Sports Complex, and the players responded.

The women’s clash against the Mandurah Magic went down to the wire in a gripping contest. Despite a determined performance, the Flames fell just short in a two-point loss. Teige Morrell led from the front with a dominant double-double of 20 points and 16 rebounds, earning home game MVP honours in a standout display of grit and leadership.

At halftime of the women’s game, the Coast FM All Abilities Cup was proudly awarded to the Bizlink Flames, who showcased their skills in front of a loud and supportive Hothouse crowd. A big thank you to Basketball All Abilities Mandurah (BAM) for being part of a special moment on the night.

The men’s side ensured the evening ended on a high, delivering a statement performance that had the Hothouse buzzing. Feeding off the energy in the stands (including a special guest appearance!) the Flames put on an offensive clinic. Isaac White caught fire with a sensational 40-point outing, well supported by Michael Harris (17pts) Emmett Naar (13pts) and Ryan Godfrey (11pts) in a complete team performance. The result moves the men to an impressive 4–1 start to the season.

The Coast FM Cup was awarded to Rockingham Flames on point differential, capping off a strong night across the club.

Women's 84-86 Men's 119-95

As part of ANZAC Round commemorations, post-game medals were presented recognising standout performances. Michaela Pivec (Mandurah) was awarded in the women’s game, while the Flames' Isaac White earned the honour for the men.

The Flames are back in action this weekend, hosting the Eastern Suns at Mike Barnett Sports Complex on Friday, May 1. Tip-off is 6:30pm for the women, followed by the men at 8:30pm.

Both teams then hit the road on Saturday to face the Warwick Senators.
