State Championships
2024 BWA State Championships
​
Each year, all affiliated associations of Basketball WA – both Metro and Country – are eligible to nominate for the BWA State Championships.
All associations are eligible for Divisions 2–5, with the State Titles weekend dedicated to all Championship Divisions for WABL associations and Regional representative teams.
Nominations will open in October 2024.
The 2024 Fuel to Go and Play BWA State Championships dates are:
16/17 November 2024 – U11 Boys & U13 Girls (Divisions 2–5) @ Bendat
23/24 November 2024 – U11 Girls & U15 Boys (Divisions 2–5) @ Bendat
30 November / 1 December 2024 – U13 Boys & U15 Girls (Divisions 2–5) @ Bendat & Warwick
7/8 December 2024 – U17 Boys, U17 Girls, U19 Boys & U20 Girls (Divisions 2–5) @ Bendat & Warwick
13/14/15 December 2024 – State Titles – All Championship Divisions across all age groups @ Bendat

Flames State Championship Trials
​
State Championships trials are part 1 of our Representative Trial Process. Part 2 sees the final player selections for teams which will participate in the 2025 WABL competition which is run yearly from February to September.
​
WABL is the premier junior competition in WA which aims to develop players for State Competitions and beyond.​

Requirements
There are some key requirements to trialling and participating in the Flames State Championship teams and WABL
​
Trial Fee - $30.00 per player (non-refundable)
Training - Players are expected to commit
Uniform - Flames black training shorts and reversible singlet
Domestic - Players are required to play in the RBRA domestic competition
Policies/ Codes of Conduct - Players and parents agree to abide by both RBRA & BWA

Trial Dates
​
Check In - 30 minutes prior to start time
Bring - Basketball (name on it), drink bottle
Wear - Reversible singlet & black shorts preferably Flames ones
Do Not Wear - School, academy, stat or other Association clothing
