Basketball WA Introduces Safe2Say: A New Way to Raise Concerns
Basketball WA has launched Safe2Say, a new secure online reporting platform designed to provide members of the Western Australian basketball community with a safe and accessible way to raise concerns.
Launched on 1 October 2026, Safe2Say allows players, parents, coaches, referees, volunteers and other members of the basketball community to report concerns directly to Basketball WA, including anonymously.
The platform is powered by Crime Stoppers WA, however all reports are received and managed by Basketball WA, not Crime Stoppers or the police.
How Does Safe2Say Work?
Safe2Say provides a secure and confidential way for individuals to raise concerns, with several key features:
Anonymous reporting: Individuals can submit concerns without providing their identity.
Secure communication: Those reporting anonymously can continue communicating with Basketball WA through the platform.
Report management: Every report is logged, tracked and reviewed by Basketball WA's Integrity team.
Timely acknowledgement: Basketball WA acknowledges all reports by the end of the next business day.
Where appropriate, matters may be referred to the relevant association or club for further action.
Supporting a Safe Basketball Community
At the Eureka Lawyers Rockingham Flames, we are committed to providing a safe, inclusive and welcoming environment for everyone involved in our club.
We encourage all members of our basketball community to familiarise themselves with Safe2Say and the reporting options available through Basketball WA.
The new Basketball WA Reporting page brings together all available reporting pathways, including Safe2Say, Basketball Australia's STOPline and additional support services.
