Important information about Trials

  • Due to the large number of athletes interested and limited positions the tryout process is highly competitive.

  • A panel of coaches assess athletes across a range of skills and athleticism. Coaches discuss all athletes before forming teams. Please note that due to the large number of athletes who tryout it is often not possible to provide individual feedback on a player.

What should I bring to Trial
  • A basketball and drink bottle with your name clearly marked on them

  • A reversible training singlet – these are available for purchase at trials if required

  • Please DO NOT wear any school, academy, state or other Association clothing to trials

  • Registrations commence 30min before your trial starts, you MUST be ready to commence trials on TIME. Ie shoes on, stretched etc

  • Bring focus, great attitude and a smile!

Who can tryout for the Flames WABL Teams
  • All athletes wishing to trial for the Flames are required to play in our current Domestic Competition.  Exemptions may be granted but must be applied for in writing before the trial process commences by contacting the WABL Committee
